SHS FALL PEP RALLY

SHS Celebrates Fall Sports and Spirit!

The Sparta High School Pep Rally was on Thursday, October 26, 2023 on Cassels Field.

The original date was Friday October 13th, but it was reschedule.

The event began with a performance by the band and the cheer team. After the band and

cheer presentation, the fall varsity athletes were announced.

The fall sports are: Boys’ Cross Country, Girls’ Cross Country,

Cheerleading, Field Hockey, Football, Girls’ Soccer, Girls’ Tennis, Gymnastics,

Unified Soccer, and Volleyball.

Next, there were a series of games offered for student participation. The first game was

a tug-of-war, then castle ball, followed by musical "towels", and lastly there

was the three legged race.

The games were scored, and all grades tied in the games, each grade winning one of them.

The freshmen won musical towers, the sophomores won castle ball, the juniors

won the three legged race, and the seniors won tug of war.

The student council executive officers, class officers, advisors, and Senators prepared and executed

this pep-rally for the Sparta High School students and staff to enjoy. Parker Hein, Jake Koerner,

Sarah Weisbeck, Kayliegh O'Brien, and Devon Dobbs were the Student Council members in charge

of the Pep-Rally. Parker Hein and Jake Koerner did the announcements for the games.

The intent of a pep rally is to bring the school together to increase its sense of community, which

is why the 2023 Pep Rally was a success for Sparta High School.
