In the midst of a global pandemic and social distancing, it is no surprise that our stress levels are at an all-time high. Here are three ways to deal with the newfound stress of quarantine:
1- Make a schedule.
Try to give yourself some structure through the day, scheduling assignments and break time for a semblance of normalcy.
2- Try to find new ways to pass the time.
There's no better time than the present to pick up a new hobby. Whether you paint, read, or cook, it’s a great way to keep yourself busy.
3- Talk to your friends.
It's fair to say that everyone is overwhelmed and sad given the circumstances. Make sure you have a great support system to lean on. Talking to people about how you are feeling is a great way to destress. A great alternative to reaching out to others is journaling. Find a way to get your feelings out!
Implementing this simple tips in your lives can significantly impact your self-isolation experience. Most of all, remember that it’s okay to be stressed right now. Things will get better, and stay #SpartanStrong.
