SHS's GOT TALENT!

SUSSEX COUNTY TEEN ARTS FESTIVAL REVIEW

By Olivia Flanz

On March 15th, this year’s Teen Arts festival took place at Sussex County Community College. Teen Arts is a festival where students from high schools in the area come together to participate in workshops and performances. The workshops were run by professional artists, and the activities included hip-hop dancing, water painting, wood-shoping, blacksmithing, origami, knitting, poetry, African drumming, chainsaw art, juggling, and much more! Students who participate in visual arts, photography, and drawing and painting had the opportunity to submit their work to be displayed in the art gallery. Students who submitted their work into the music or performance category, such as playing an instrument, singing, or dancing- had the chance to perform at the festival. Since there was no festival last year due to Covid-19, many students, staff, and venues were excited to participate in the event.
