School is in session, and it's easy to get overwhelmed by schoolwork. However, students should be on the lookout for the upcoming fall drama- You Can't Take It With You by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, which is the story of a slightly batty New York City family living together in a large house.

When asked why this play was chosen, Mr. Rivers, the show's director, explains, "It seemed to fit our students because it is a comedy. Even though this is the first show I have been lucky enough to direct at SHS, I've worked with enough drama club students to know that we have a great number of comedic actors. The show features big characters, so the actors are having a lot of fun as they explore the family dynamics of the show's wacky families. The show also has some thematic resonance for our world today. The two young lovers, who are from very different families, must find a way to help their parents recognize what really matters in life."

The proposed date for the performance is November 29-December 1, 2018, from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M. While the play may seem like a lifetime away, I encourage everyone to attend- I know I will!
